The valley takes us higher and higher,...

... above us rocky cliffs play with the mist.



We take a sidestep into the mountains, to climb one of those nameless peaks.

Behind Sost the gorge leading to the Khunjerab Pass get's quite narrow - landslides occur regularly here.

Nights are seriously cold at this altitude, so we enjoy being inside the tent.



After two days of cycling upwards we finally reach the Khunjerab Pass, officially 4730m high
(our altimeter tells a lot more). It's the highest point we ever climbed by bike.


Full of anticipation we let the bikes roll into Xinjang/China...
