After a landslide area in a narrow gorge..
... behind a corner, out of a sudden, there appears the Rakaposhi -
gate-keeper and patron of the Hunza valley.
It's incredible view accompanies us the next days.
In this dry, but beautiful valley, which is surround by high Karakoram
peaks, nothing grows without irrigation. Still there lives a happy people,
like these schoolgirls we meet.
The road climbs up and up, soon touching the glaciers...
...and the mountain view can get incredible.
We start a trekking tour to get more in touch with the world of mountains
and glaciers.
The glaciers belong to the biggest in the world...
... and often the path is hard to find.
It starts getting automn up here and we enjoy walking through the
gold-colored vegetation.
Groups of shepherds coming down from the meadows:
I will never ever forget the heartwarming welcome those
people gave us - treating us almost like family members.
We couldn't see the mountains because of bad weather
but we still thoroughly enjoyed the glacier sight from our
campground.
