Labrador City and Fermont
Labrador City

Fermont and Labrador City, only 20km apart, still seperated by language and time zone.
We need a week in Lab City to recover and to regain the power to proceed with our trip.

We make use of some rainy days and visit the main attractions of these towns:

The mines of Fermont, Wabush and Labrador City belong to the biggest iron mines on earth and are the only reason these towns exist (that's why the athmosphere sometimes reminds of an oil drilling platform).

Just watch the size of these machines!
(compare with the car - the truck in the upper picture is the same as the one under the shovel!)
