Actually our journey starts in New York, where we had to go for professional reasons. Why we went to Labrador then? Well that's a strange story. We just knew in advance that it's too hot around New York to cycle conveniently in summer. So we got ourselves a map and went northward with our fingers. The northern-most road we could find was titled "Trans-Labrador Highway". It looked remote and adventurous. Definitely a challenge to cycle it. And so...

From New York we take a car to go to Quebec City to start cycling there.

We enjoy cycling through the quiet countryside along the St. Laurent River.

Watching whales adds another attraction to the journey.

From Baie-Comeau the road takes us into the remoteness of inner Northern Quebec.
Although paved, many steep sections cost us a lot of power. Still we know this is just the beginning.

It takes us a couple of days to reach one of the last outposts - the Maniq V power plant
